This is an opportunity to help shape the strategic direction and governance of Canadian Amateur Football across the province.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:36px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><tbody><tr><td><strong>Term Lengths<\/strong><\/td><td>2 years<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Deadline for Submission<\/strong><\/td><td>November 30th<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Submission Method<\/strong><\/td><td><a href=\"https:\/\/form.jotform.com\/252894285124261\">Apply online<\/a><\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Nomination Date<\/strong><\/td><td>FNB Annual Meeting on January 23, 2027<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:53px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Please review the position requirements, responsibilities, and organizational needs below. If you feel you would be a good fit we encourage you to apply following the submission requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Eligibility Requirements (Mandatory)<\/strong><br>Per FNB By-Law No. 1, all candidates must meet the following criteria:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Be 19 years of age or older.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have or have had association with an FNB member organization (Minor Association or League).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Must NOT be a current president or paid employee of an FNB member organization.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Must be able to commit the time required to attend a minimum of four (4) Board meetings per year, plus committee and preparation time.<br>The Committee will also vet candidates against termination clauses, including those related to bankruptcy, criminal offences involving fraud, and negligence of duties.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Director Duties and Fiduciary Responsibility<\/strong><br>Directors serve as volunteers and have a legal duty to administer the affairs of FNB. This includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Fiduciary Duty: Acting honestly, in good faith, and in the best interest of FNB at all times.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Compliance: Adhering to FNB\u2019s by-laws and established policies, procedures, and rules.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Oversight: Establishing and overseeing the Executive (Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer) and ensuring the day-to-day operations are properly managed by the Operational Committee and staff.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Governance: Making policies, interpreting by-laws, and avoiding any actual or perceived conflict of-interest situation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Current Skills and Experience Sought<\/strong><br>The Nominating Committee aims to ensure the Board collectively possesses the necessary expertise to address FNB&rsquo;s strategic goals. For the upcoming term, we are specifically seeking candidates with proven experience in the following areas (though all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply):<br><span style=\"color: #900a0a;\" class=\"stk-highlight\"><strong>Priority Skill Area and Rationale \/ Focus<\/strong><\/span><br>a. <em>Corporate Fundraising \/Sponsorship<\/em> &#8211; Needed to develop strategies for securing external funding and expanding FNB&rsquo;s revenue base beyond membership fees.<br><em>b. Marketing and Digital Strategy<\/em> &#8211; Expertise in modern communication, membership engagement, and brand promotion of the sport.<br><em>c. Legal &#8211; <\/em>Non profit governance, risk management, liability and contracts<br><em>d. Medical <\/em>&#8211; Sports injuries and prevention, concussion man agreement, sport policies and protocols.<br><br>The Committee also highly values candidates who enhance the geographic, demographic, and gender diversity of the Board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Submission Requirements<\/strong><br>To submit your Expression of Interest, please apply online.
