The 2026 Atlantic Bowl, a six-a-side football tournament, kicked off Thursday, July 9, in Fredericton at UNB’s BMO Field, hosted by Football New Brunswick.
Team New Brunswick’s U16 squad took on Prince Edward Island, with PEI taking victory.
Later in the day, New Brunswick’s U18 team faced PEI. After a hard-fought game from Team New Brunswick, PEI secured the win.
The day’s action also featured Newfoundland and Labrador facing Nova Scotia in both the U16 and U18 divisions. Nova Scotia came away victorious in both matchups.
Action continues Sunday, July 12, at the BMO Field as teams compete for gold and bronze to wrap up the 2026 Atlantic Bowl.
