About 2024 U18 Girls Program
With the recent announcement of hosting the U18 Women’s Nationals this July in Fredericton. Football New Brunswick is ALL IN on competing for a National Championship on home turf! FNB is revamping its selection process to ensure we get every athlete out for an opportunity to make the team!
This year we will be adopting a pillar model where athletes from Fredericton, Moncton and Saint John will have week day practices leading up to the official start of training camp on April 28th. These practices will be run by Team NB coaches in each respective area. Considering we only have 7 coaches on our staff we will be reaching out to local coaches to help us run efficient practices. These Pillar practices are intended to give females high quality practice reps leading into training camp.
FNB will be waving the initial tryout fee for team NB ($275)! These fees will be added to the Provincial Team fees for the 22 athletes that make the final roster.
Please see below on how you get your gear in each respective association to participate in the Pillar Program!
- Fundy Region – a player must be registered in the associations Spring program to be eligible and receive equipment.
- Greater Moncton Region – a player must be registered in the associations Spring program to be eligible and receive equipment.
- Capital Area Region – a player from the Capital Area can pay a rental fee of $150 at our registration checkout.
Note: Any players who have currently registered and paid for the initial tryout will have those fees credited to the Provincial Team fees, or if they don’t make the final 22 will be refunded at that time.
Following the Pillar Program all females registered will be invited to the combine, training camp and McDonald’s Showcase Series where they will be assessed further for their on-field play and personal character. Each athlete will have the opportunity to train and develop under highly experienced coaches from a wide variety of high school, Varsity Girls and Maritime Women’s Football League programs across New Brunswick. REGISTER TODAY and you will participate in over 20 hours of Pillar Programming, the Football Canada approved Combine & Testing, receive minimum 8 hours of Provincial Team practice, classroom instruction and participation in the McDonalds Showcase Series. Additionally all players receive some cool swag, and have the opportunity to compete at the U18 Women’s Nationals in Fredericton, NB this July 20-28! Deadline to register is April 15, 2024.
