About

The Under 18 Women’s National Championship is a 6-a-side tackle football Championship that is played on an annual basis. The event includes provincial teams from across the country fielding the top women and girl athletes at the U18 tackle football level. Football Canada hosted its first Women’s (adult) National Tackle event in 2012 and has been participating in the World Championship since its initial year in 2010. Since the start of these two events the country has seen a significant increase in female participation within tackle football. The U18 Women’s Nationals had its inaugural event in July 2022 in Regina, SK where New Brunswick captured a Bronze medal!
